Forland Award

Dr. Marvin Forland is a long-time Professor of Medicine, Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs, and Professor Emeritus of Medicine at the School of Medicine. The Forland Essay Award is granted to a current student who writes an original essay that reflects on what is important to them in their pursuit of becoming a physician.

The award is for $1,000, as well an award presentation (for seniors it will be at the annual Senior Graduation Dinner and Awards Ceremony, and for MS1-MS3 students it will be during Alumni Weekend). The essay will be published in the School of Medicine’s Future newsletter and added to the Forland Award Essay Compilation.
