Course Description:

This course picks up where basic medical Spanish left off, and is designed to prepare students for real-world healthcare interactions. There will be an emphasis on medical vocabulary, “high-yield” grammar, and integrating everything in conversation. The course will include a conversation lab component to help students improve their fluency in Spanish. The dates for the conversation lab will be discussed when class begins.

Course Objectives:

  • Spanish language introduction with an emphasis on medical terminology
  • Develop your Spanish conversational skill to be used when interacting with patients

Course Credit and Grading:

* Must attend 8 lectures and at least 3 labs to get credit for class.
** Please make sure you sign in when you come to class.

Homework Assignments:

Students are expected to have read the material assigned before class.
