Hello everyone! I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology, but I am a Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Physician (AKA a Physiatrist) by trade. I am also board certified in Pain Medicine and I spend my work days at the UT Medicine Pain Medicine Clinic. By night, I am a husband of a beautiful woman named Marcy who is an OB/GYN in private practice here in San Antonio and a father to a loving labradoodle named Austin and a handsome almost 3 year old son, David.

I am a board and raised New Jerseyan, transplanted to Houston, Texas in 2008 for residency. My wife and I (and the ‘doodle) moved to San Antonio in 2012 and haven’t looked back. My hobbies include tennis, Mets baseball, Giants football, and craft beer. I am excited to be involved with Veritas and can’t wait to work with all of our young future physicians!

I was born in Corpus Christi, Texas but I grew up mainly in Round Rock, Texas. It was there that I met my beautiful and loving wife, Sabrina. We have two dogs, Zeus and Leonidas, who take up much of our free time but we wouldn’t have it any other way. For the first year and a half of undergrad, I attended Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina as a student-athlete on the football team. After a couple of seasons, it became necessary for me to return to Texas. So I transferred to Baylor University, where I completed my undergraduate education and received a B.S. in Biology. My hobbies include playing the drum set, cooking low and slow barbecue, and traveling when I can. When I am not working, you can catch me spending time with my wife and dogs, working on my hobbies, or watching the game with friends and family. I look forward to welcoming the incoming class into our Veritas family.

I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. I went to a small liberal arts college - Austin College - where I studied Biochemistry and Classical Studies. One of the highlights of my college experience was studying abroad in London during my junior year. After college, I took a year off and worked as a scribe at a Dallas Level 1 Trauma Hospital while volunteering my time with DFW Girls Inc and Habitat for Humanity. During medical school, I held several leadership positions, volunteered at our student run free clinics, participated in research (focusing on both social science and medical topics), and took advantage of our school's wonderful travel scholarship program - attending conferences in Utah, Montana, California, to name a few. I chose UT Long SOM because of the wonderful community here and I look forward to expanding my San Antonio family with our new Veritas class. If you want to find me, I am likely either: (1) at home studying and/or cuddling my dog, (2) enjoying Taco Tuesday, (3) listening to a podcast during a long hike, (4) watching Netflix, or (5) out celebrating life. So welcome to our wonderful community; I can't wait to meet and get to know all of you over the coming year!

I grew up in Plano, TX and attended Plano West Senior High School. I was fortunate enough to spend the following 8 years in Boston, MA pursuing research in induced pluripotent stem cells at the Center for Regenerative Medicine at Boston Medical Center after undergrad. I loved that I took time off between undgrad and medical school! I know what it's like to have pursued other interests prior to finding my niche in medicine, and I am excited for where general surgery might lead me.

I am from Dallas, Tx. I went to UT Austin for undergrad and got a BS in biochemistry. I am an avid Longhorn fan. I am a traditional student and went straight from undergrad into medical school. I aspire to be a general surgeon that will eventually specialize in something (I don't know yet). I love to play tennis, cook, work out, and travel to Houston to see my fiance.

I am from Coppell, Texas a small suburb of Dallas. I attended UC Berkeley, where I studied bioengineering, competed on a dance team, and was involved in Greek Life. I was also active in orthopedic research at the UCSF medical center. After graduation, I was drawn to Silicon Valley and the startup culture of the Bay Area and worked a bit as an engineer on a project developing drug delivery nanotubes. I was very grateful for my opportunities in California, but was also very excited to to move back to Texas to pursue medical school here at the health center. Medical school has been a rigorous, exciting, and humbling experience for me. Currently, my interests are leaning towards surgery and I hope to ultimately pursue a career in a surgical specialty. In my free time, I enjoy reading, playing intermural soccer, exploring San Antonio, and soloing on the saxophone down at the Pearl. I am really excited to be a part of the Veritas program and have the opportunity to mentor and encourage incoming MS1s.

Hey everyone! My name is Mike Miller and I am originally from Odessa, Texas. I did my undergrad at Texas Tech University and majored in general biology with a chemistry minor. I had the spring semester off after graduation and got married the summer before med school started. I'm currently not sure what specialty I want to go into, but I am interested in sports medicine, PMNR or orthopaedics. In my free time, I like to play intramurals, watch pretty much any kind of sport, and hang out with my yellow lab puppy, Tucker. Wreck' em Tech!

Hello, my name is Raji Reddy, and I am from Lufkin which is located in deep East Texas. As apart of the FAME BS/MD program I went to UT San Antonio for undergrad. Here at UTHSA I have gotten involved with Frontera de Salud, a student run free screening clinic, and I am now one of the student delegates for the Texas Medical Association. I am interested in global health and am working on taking a trip to India next year.

Whenever I get some free time I try my best to travel so I can learn and experience different cultures. I love photography, checking out the local art scene during San Antonio's First Fridays, playing with the puppies at the nearby animal shelter and hanging out with the amazing people I have met here at the medical school. I have about 4 years of foodie experience in San Antonio, so if you ever need some suggestions come find me!

I can't wait to meet all of y'all and be your VPA! Go RED!
