We care! One of the primary goals for the Center for Healthy Aging is to become a Center of Excellence by providing high quality, innovative multi-disciplinary care and services to our patients. The Center for Healthy Aging of the University of Texas Health Science Center will collaborate with our Community Partners to utilize the many resources available to provide the best Primary Care and Specialty services.

UT Medicine is our academic medical practice providing private medical services by our world renowned faculty at the University of Texas Health Science Center. Our faculty work to provide the best and latest in medical care to the citizens of San Antonio and South Texas.

Primary Care

Geriatric clinical practice services are provided by the UT Health Science Center's Department of Family and Community Medicine and the Department of Medicine/Division of Geriatrics, Gerontology and Palliative Medicine.

In addition, many of our faculty members are cross-appointed with the South Texas Veterans Health Care System, and support the Geriatric Research, Education, and Clinical Center (GRECC). The San Antonio GRECC's research, education and clinical programs develop, and disseminate innovated models of care for older Veterans across a spectrum of social and physical functioning - From Robust to Frail.
